Give each version of you one job.

This room lets you keep one past self. Split the jobs between two loops instead of trying to hold the plate and collect the treasure at once.

  1. First loop: open the door.
Keep a run that ends with you standing on the plate.

  2. Next loop: collect the treasure.
Your past self holds the plate while your current self goes through the door.

  3. Pick it up, then reach the exit.
Walking onto the treasure is not enough. Use Pick up / drop, then carry it to the exit.

The goal is to reach the exit carrying the treasure. You do not need to collect the acorn to escape.

Take only the hint you need

Open these in order. The complete route stays folded away in the next section.

Hint 1 · How do I keep the door open?

The plate opens the door while someone stands on it. If your current self stays there, you cannot reach the treasure. Leave your past self on the plate instead.

Hint 2 · What should I record?

Reach the plate in your first loop, then choose Rewind → Keep this run. Your past self repeats that route and stays on the square where the recording ends. You do not need to walk away after reaching the plate.

When you start the next loop, your past self starts moving too. It does not appear on the plate immediately.

Hint 3 · Why can’t I walk past myself?

Away from the start square, both versions of you cannot occupy the same square. Follow the first route again and your past self blocks the plate square. Go around its lower and right sides to reach the row with the door.

Each arrow means one square. “× 2” means move two squares in that direction. Holding a direction repeats it, so release when you reach the intended square.

1. Leave yourself on the plate

On your first visit, choose Let’s play in the help panel. If the game is Ready, choose Start. From start square S, move:

  1. ↑ × 2, up two squares
  2. →, right one square

On plate P, choose Rewind → Keep this run.

Check: Past selves now reads 1 / 1. Choose Start again to begin the next loop.

2. Cross the door and pick up the treasure

Choose Start again. Take this route around the plate:

  1. →
  2. ↑
  3. →
  4. ↑ × 2
  5. → × 4
  6. ↑
  7. → × 2
  8. Pick up / drop

Check: you pass through door D and reach treasure square T. After picking it up, the hint says “Treasure secured.”

3. Carry it to the exit

  1. → × 2
  2. ↓ × 4

Keep holding the treasure and reach exit E to complete the heist. Do not press Pick up / drop again at the exit; you do not need to put it down.

Prefer to see the moves? Choose Watch solution in the demo. It plays the solution automatically; it is not a record of your own play.

The actual buttons and keys

On a phone, use the on-screen direction and action buttons. For keyboard controls, first click the puzzle board, then use these keys:

Move
WASD or the arrow keys. The on-screen arrows do the same job.
Pick up / drop
Use E or the on-screen button on the treasure square. Space also works when the puzzle board has focus. If you already hold the treasure, this puts it down.
Rewind / keep
Z opens the rewind choice. Press Z once more in that choice to keep the run.
Retry this loop
R. Discards the current run while keeping the past self you already saved.
Pause / resume
P or the Pause / Resume button.
Wait
The on-screen Wait button. Lets one beat pass without moving.
Start over
The on-screen Start over button. Clears your saved past self too.

Each loop lasts 15 seconds. Use Pause when you need to stop and think. Reloading or closing the tab clears the demo’s progress.

Three things to check if you get stuck

I can’t save another past self.

The demo has one slot. If you kept a run that ends in the wrong place, choose Start over to clear it. Retry this loop keeps the existing past self.

I reached the treasure but can’t finish.

Make sure you pressed Pick up / drop on its square. You must carry the treasure all the way to exit E.

The game looks different from this map.

The demo normally shows a 3D room. If WebGL is unavailable, it uses a 2D view. This diagram shows the same room from above; the plate, door and treasure keep the same positions.
